Более 300 предметов, поднятых с затонувшего почти сто лет назад знаменитого круизного лайнера "Титаник" выставят на обозрение в Лондоне. Также на выставке будут продемонстрированы воссозданные интерьеры некоторых помещений "Титаника".
В числе реконструированных помещений - каюты третьего класса, фрагмент грузовой палубы и котельного отделения, а также айсберг. На выставке будут представлены 14 предметов, ранее не выставлявшихся на публике. В их число входят лист с нотной рукописью и тетрадь, принадлежавшая одному из пассажиров.
- «В ту ночь более 1 500 пассажиров разделили одну судьбу, несмотря на разное социальное положение. Это был шокирующий конец приятного путешествия. Их история - это наша история и мы считаем своей обязанностью продемонстрировать Лондону эти сокровища», - заявила Шерил Мур, вице-президент компании RMS Titanic Inc., которой принадлежат права на исследование затонувшего судна.
Напомним, самый большой океанский лайнер своего времени, "Титаник" затонул 14 апреля 1912 года в Северной Атлантике после столкновения с айсбергом. Как сообщал ранее InterRight, исследовательская группа RMS Titanic намерена создать трехмерную электронную карту остатков знаменитого лайнера "Титаник", лежащих на глубине 3800 метров в Атлантическом океане. Съемка с помощью управляемых глубоководных аппаратов начались в сентябре.

Sotheby's Opens Moscow Office and Appoints Director
