Valentin Pashkov is a distinguished Russian artist, a contemporary taught by Radimova Tatiana, daughter of Radimov Pavel Alexandrovich, the last chairman of Peredvizhniki Society. Pashkov was born on December 17 1940 in the village of Kurkino, Yukhnovsky uezd, Smolenskaya guberniya (nowadays called Kaluzhskaya). His lot was such that he was thrown into an impassible Saint Petersbourg guberniya, but he's always felt homesick towards his birthplace, and as the possibility arises he rushes to meet it just like a man rushes to meet his mother or his fair one to get strength and inspiration.
